GUARANTEE
- We guarantee the health of the hips (from dysplasia) and the eyes (from retinal atrophy or retinal dysplasia) of every dog purchased from Brensue Labs for 26 months.
- The guarantee begins from the date of birth.
- Your Brensue Lab puppy’s eyes are guaranteed to pass a CAER (formerly CERF) exam. A Certified Veterinarian Ophthalmologist must conduct the eye exam, and the results must be sent to OFA. The Ophthalmologist must state in writing that the defect is definitely of a hereditary nature and not caused by injury or illness. If an eye problem does exist, the dog must be immediately neutered or spayed. Proof of the sterilization must also be submitted to Brensue Labs. Once BSL has verified that the spay or neutering has occurred, Brensue Labs will then replace the said dog with a puppy from the same parents or a similar litter as soon as possible. A cash refund or Brensue Labs taking possession of the dog will not occur. A copy of the dog’s AKC registration papers must also be submitted to also verify the dog has not sired or whelped a litter. If the dog has been used to sire or whelp a litter, the guarantee is null and void.
- If your Brensue Labs puppy is diagnosed with hip dysplasia by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA), we will require documentation from OFA. You should have your dog’s hips x-rayed and sent in to OFA at 24 months of age. OFA will be the sole judge of the health of your dog’s hips. OFA must state in writing that the defect is definitely of a hereditary nature and not caused by injury. If hip dysplasia does exist, the dog must be immediately neutered or spayed. Proof of the sterilization must also be submitted to Brensue Labs. Once BSL has verified that the spay or neutering has occurred, Brensue Labs will then replace the said dog with a puppy from the same parents or a similar litter as soon as possible. - NOTE: Our kennel is not responsible for any and all other health conditions, including death, that this health guarantee does not specifically state. Our kennel reserves the right to assume that you are purchasing this pup for yourself. An AKC transfer of ownership other than from our kennel to you voids this health guarantee. All veterinary fees and shipping expenses are the owner’s responsibility.
SHIPPING
- Every effort should be made by the customer to pick up your new puppy. If you are not able to pick up your puppy, airline shipping is available via the Minneapolis, Minnesota airport. The price of the puppy will be increased by $150.00 (This covers the cost of a required veterinarian health certificate, shipping crate, fuel, and any other incidentals incurred by Brensue Labs to ship your puppy.)
- All shipping costs and full purchase price of the puppy must be paid to Brensue Labs prior to the puppy being shipped (no exceptions).
- All airline fees are the responsibility of the customer and must be paid prior to the puppy being shipped or arranged to be collected by the airline when puppy arrives.
